I have a D7100 coming from B&H. In anticipation I downloaded the manual to get a jump when the camera arrives.
Right after the Formatting the Cards section is Adjust Viewfinder Focus.
This cracks me up. The manuals are notorious for not really explaining stuff, but the writer felt it was important to add this bit of advice or did some corporate lawyer come up with this. Still got a chuckle out of it.

Some idiot probably sued them.
Makin' it idiot proof. :)
My favorite was the instructions for a table top fountain that said, "Do not use under blankets or pillows."

Exactly! It's like telling you that the rat poison is not for human consumption, or do not eat a hot iron.

Actually, some (most) rat poisons have coloring added.
That way is the last chance to warn idiots not to eat it.
Green/blue rolled oats are rat bait.

Could you explain that, please?

Lawyers have to come up with that.
That way the Hoochie-Mama that sticks her 9 inch nail in her eye was warned in advance.
We suffer the inane BS to protect those who should never have been spanked at birth...

Jerry, my friend, he shoots a Canon.
That should be explanation enough. ;)

On the other hand, a lot of people (and lawyers) have gotten rich by suing for stupid reasons. A sailboat company was put out of business because a guy's boat was struck by lightning. Apparently, they didn't tell him that was a possibility. Another guy bought a bike, rode it at night, and got into an accident. He figured that was the fault of the bike maker, so he sued and got some money.
Stupid people? I don't think so. Dumb like a fox.

Oh crap! That's not blueberry oatmeal?

They issue these warnings to protect themselves from law suits. It sounds stupid, but someone sued McDonalds because they get scalded when they spilled their hot coffee and they won.

Should we assume rats are color blind then...or are they colorized to make them more appealing to the rats also making them look like M&M's for the little people.

Uhh, no, it's not.
You have 6-8 hours before you'll bleed out internally. :-o
...and be careful not to bump your nose when bringing camera body to your eye, or nosebleed may occur.
