For a true amateur like myself is the D750 really worth another $800.00 dollars over the D610? I am considering upgrading from my D90 to full frame as I already have some pretty nice fx lenses. What do u think is that D750 really worth the extra doe? Would it likely be the last DSLR I would ever need or want? Ha Ha Any input will be helpful maybe someone has or has had both.

From everything I've seen, the low light and video performance, plus the variable angle LCD would be the main differences. I think you could be happy with a D610 for along time if none of these things is a deal breaker for you. Maybe this video will help you decide. It's pretty cool.

You will always wonder should you get the D610 what you are missing. It is a fine camera but in asking the question and considering it a last, the question will never go away.

Video and the LCD are of no interest to me. I'm sticking with the D610. ;)

Facing the same decision a few months ago, I considered my true needs. I decided the D610 was the right choice. Look closely at both and make a decision based on what you shoot. It's easy to fall into the trap of the latest and newest.

I love my 610 but I like some of the features of the 750 too. Not enough to upgrade though.

I have the D610 and I tried the D750 and had focusing issues. Hunting for focus and sometimes taking a totally out of focus picture. Also for some reason it would take 5-7 seconds for the preview to appear on the back screen. I returned it. It may have been a defective unit. The d610 is a great camera.
