Walked to the site in total darkness and only fell flat once. I was amazed at what the sunrise did to the arch. I did not add any saturation to the top of the arch. It was that bright and saturated. If you want to photograph this (about 20+ miles from Moab) you have to get there early. It was still totally dark when I got there and there were already about 20 people waiting for the sunrise.
How far is the trek from parking area?
This is an excellent photo, but I would really like to enlarge your image, but cannot from this thumbnail. You can add the same image, and check the box labeled (store original), so we can enlarge. You can then delete your first thumbnail image.

Beautiful photo. Well worth the tumble you took. Easy for me to say.
Well worth the trip I would say. WOW!!
Better angle of view, I am tired of seeing the starburst sunrise through the arch. Good job, making the hike and early morning worth it.

The distant formation, to the right of the frame, has been
named the Washer Woman.
it is only about a 15 min walk or less I would say--if my memory serves me correctly
but a bit rocky I think

It took about 25 minutes to get there in the dark, and about 10 minutes to get back to the parking lot in daylight. If you plan to go there, it might be a good idea to go out in the daytime the day before, so you know how to get there in the dark.
