First off I want to thank Edgorm for his great idea. Want to thank also those who participated. I would love to do that one again during tourist season!
FREE SUNDAY...Got any leftovers? No? No problem post something else.
This is an ongoing project for me. For you loggers, you'll understand for you who do not, well something new.
It is somewhat overexposed as I am starting with RAW and Under Tools, and WB, I should have selected another tone.
This oak tree is on the ground but I do not want to cut it all the way through because of hidden rocks under the snow
So I cut it three quarters
Split it right there in place
And haul it out by sleigh to dry for two years

Great opening set RR, long drawn out process and then have to wait 2 years to enjoy
Stopped on my way home Tuesday, took a walk in the wood for some camera action
Covered shopping mall in Croydon, shot to just highlight the ceiling detail

You got that right! Seasoning is everything!
This was as close to street photography as I could get this week! Car trouble and work kept me from street photography this week. For those in the NE United States and Canada who wonder if spring will pass them by, it's on its way!

Off and running with another Free Sunday - love the documentary of how you work on the wood.

Sweet face and beautifully colored.
I went to one of the favorite ocean spots today - had it all to myself. Wind and cold wasn't too bad. It is snowing out right now - again
It was so cold this week even the landscape started to crack (at least it felt that way)
Along the shoreline. Had to walk a narrow foot path through the snow to get to the beach. Snow is hegher than the usual "snow fence" lining the walkway.
Shell, snow , sand
Black seaweed encased in snow
Frozen shell
An "iceberg" on the beach

thank you Pat. My husband says it's a starling! They do winter here. I don't know if they migrate at all. But it was snowing, and I threw out some bread on the deck. He took on a Blue Jay and won!

Like your new avatar, Sunny. I think it is a juvenile starling, too.

Pat, my new avatar was taken last Sunday. I was very excited in finding this fellow. They're rare here. He nests somewhere close though. They're so rare here, that our local weekly newspaper published one of my photos of him/her just this week.
