Clouds over the French Broad River Valley
The underside look of these clouds has a particular name.
Does anyone know it?
I saw those clouds a little while ago here in Arden, but did not have my camera or a clear shot.
Nicely done.

very dramatic shots..nice ones.
Those are kinds of clouds I would crop, then save them in a "Clouds" folder to be used as backgrounds when I wanted to change out a bland sky.

Beautiful. Clouds make great subjects.
Thanks for all the comments. Clouds are something we all see every day, but once in a while, really interesting ones come along. We point are camera skyward and hit the go button. We look at the results and are disappointed so we don't do that much any more. ANY sky can be made to look more dramatic by using the techniques in PS or LR or other photo editing software. The following is an unedited version of the 3rd cloud photo. Interesting, yes, but nearly so much as the edited version, eh?
