Nice,No star gazing around here for a while,Thanks for showing a clear sky,I noticed in your profile you are a turner so am I Pens,Bowls,Some flat work too anything to keep me busy.

Thank you for the compliment I was hoping to shoot Venus, Mercury and the new waxing moon together tonight but clouds are not staying away.
Maybe I'll be able to shoot the two planets ultra closely paired tomorrow.
I've been turning for about a year and a half and just started turning bowls and glasses. I'll attach one of my photos.
This is my first closed top.

Actually, that is Mars. Mercury is on the other side of the Sun and presently rises about an hour before the Sun
Yesterday was supposed to be clear and it was in the afternoon but as evening approached - and the opportunity to see the Moon, Venus and Mars in close proximity - it of course clouded over...

I don't know how I got the two planets confused. You are absolutely right and I am in error.
Thanks for correcting me.
And thanks for the compliment on the bowl. Turning deep with a hook gouge is a bit unnerving but the picture speaks for the result.
