I bought the Canon right when it first came out a little over seven months ago and took some great shots with it. I gave it to my friend for a Christmas present, who admired it all along, and needed a camera. I bought a Panny Lumix LX 100, which is very good, especially for video (4K video!), but for stills, I prefer the Canon. It has better color rendition (more film like) and less noise in lower light. Also I like the tilting touchscreen and built-in flash. I don't like the fact that the add-on viewfinder (which is great, by the way) costs an extra $225. Also, I like the reach of the lens on the Canon. I like the nice film like-look of the overall picture, and the colors are great.
I like the Overall smaller size of the Panny. I don't like no built-in flash. I don't like no articulating or tilting touchscreen. It takes decent pics, but the colors and rendition aren't as good.
I rebought the Canon today.
The Lumix LX 100 is for sale (very reasonable!).

What you need is an em5ii ;-)
Did you post the lx100 in the classifieds?

You're right about the E-M5ii, but I wanted an all-in-one, larger sensor, pocketable point-and-shoot, not an ILC. I'm actually waiting for the E-M1ii.
No, I didn't post the LX100 yet because someone will probably snatch it up before I get around to it! :-D
Sorry, double post... I must be new to this...

There is a third choice, one which I am strongly considering buying: the Canon G7X. Look it up and compare specs to both the G1X Mk II and the Pany LX100. Watch one of the several video reviews of the G7X.

RJay, the G7X is excellent. Specs on all three look good on paper, but I compared the pictures and liked the G1X Mkii every time. The G7X would also be very similar to the G1Xii... good choice.
