I climbed down a rather difficult trail, looked up and saw a broadbilled hummingbird. lifted the camera and fired off 10 or 15 shots quickly before it flew.

Looked at the pictures and all were exposure bias -1. Help---how do i adjust or is all lost. a am rather new to photography and absolutely new to CS5 or Lightroom. Is anyone willing to give explicit instructions to make correction. i could attach a photo if that would help. thanks

Yes attach a photo that can be downloaded. Generally a -1 EV should be easy to fix.

Load the photo in Lightroom. Go to the develop module and click on the "Basic" dropdown on the right hand side. You will see a slider for "exposure" Try adjusting that first and see what happens.

In CS5 .. open the photo click on the add new adjustment layer on the bottom of the layers pallette .. choose levels.
There are 3 sliders there..
The one on the right is at 255 by default ... move that arrow to the left to 150.
The the center one which is at 1.00 by default .. move that one left to 2.00
This is the result.
