The temp was right around the freezing mark but winds were blowing in the 25 - 35mph range constantly; in some places gusts in excess of 50mph were not uncommon. A fellow photographer was actually blown over by the wind during a stop along the seaside.

Erich, thank you. Funny about the color on the peaks, I haven't edited this photo, might lighten the exposure just a hair, but the touch of color on the peaks was Mother Nature's adjustment all the way.
It is above the Arctic Circle, so we had snow everyday; sometimes just random snow showers, other times overnight accumulating snow. Driving around Lofoten for a week, we were never on a highway or road that wasn't covered with a thin layer of snow and ice, same with store parking lots and walkways.
