Kenny, some very amazing shots of even more amazing libraries!!
For those of us old guys that attended UC Berkely, one of the most popular and amazing stops on the official tours of the campos was the old card cataloge room in the Bancroft library. Many rows upon rows of those cabinets with the little square drawers of card catalogues. The card catalogue room was probably bigger than most public libraries, as the library had more book titles than any library except the library of congress. Find memories, yes!!
Computer monitors just don't impress!!
Thanks for sharing!

Card catalog - oh - I remember those! On the other end of the continent at MIT the engineering library located under the great dome was always a wonderful spot. As a side-benefit it had soft chairs with foot-stools that allowed a quick nap between classes....

Thanks for the link, Kenny. I really enjoyed it. It must have been exciting to travel to all the different libraries.

Our first "library" was a "double holer" complete with a Sears and Roebuck catalog. Yellow jackets and wasps in the summer and frigid updrafts in the winter. Not quite as fancy as the ones Kenny introduced to us though...

Black and Yellow Garden Spiders! They populated every post, outside wall, and idle implement. We treated the inside with a pump sprayer - as I write this I can smell its sweet doom to bugs.
