Sommarøy is a populated island in the western part of the municipality of Tromsø in Troms county, Norway. It is located about 36 kilometres (22 mi) west of the city of Tromsø and is a popular tourist destination due to its white sand beaches and scenery. The island is connected to the neighboring island of Kvaløya by the Sommarøy Bridge.

That's about the whitest sand I've ever seen.

Beautiful. Can't get over the water color. Caused from glacier runoff like in Glacier natl. park here in the states?
