I have a camera hood on my Canon EOS 60D sometimes when I shoot my photo has a ring or Fish Eye efffect. What could be causing it I seem to recieve in in a number of pictures.
I don't know what seem to be causing the "fish eye" as you call it but, the picture looks amazing. Perhaps you can go on line the the website of the camera you own and ask the question. Are even google it. Hopes one of the two can help but the picture is beautiful. Plus I am partcial to cloud pictures.
If you have a zoom lense on it, that is the cause. If you bought an aftermarket lense hood, you need to change it to a canon lense hood. Remember the camera angle changes as you zoom in.
That's what I did. Thanks for your help.
I had the same problem. It turned out that I had too many (2) additional filters on my lens... so, I removed one. I hope this works for you.

But hey usmc you discovered a great special effect. The fact that you have what i believe they call vigneting turns an intersting cloud photo into a more fascinating one. You will probably come across other oportunities to use the telescope effect.
You were right it is the aftermarket lens hood. since i have a 67mm x 18 mm x135mm when i zoom in on a subject at just the right sun angle it causes the effect.
Try taking the same photo with the hood and then without. If the photo without the hood does not have the fish eye effect, then your hood is interfering with the wide angle zoom. either remove the hood from those shots, or zoom in gradually untill the hood is gone.
I really think the photo is pretty interesting

cloning out the telephone wires in editing software would improve the shot tremendously
