Nice photos; I really like the second one.

I agree about their demise being sad. Unfortunately, there just isn't much use for them any more. They were great designs in their time, but they really don't fit in with modern farming methods.

Great photos, love the old barns too.
Now days the cost of lumber and the time it takes to erect a wooden barn are not practical compared to the durablity of the newer prefab metal barns and ease of installation and require little to no maintainence.

Yep, kind of sad to see them slowly falling apart, but these old structures do make for fine photo ops. And, you have 2 very nice photos of these barns.
