Thanks Corolyn for your visit and kind words, and yes, that is an African violet that I worked on a bit. I have about 8 African violet plants, some I started with leaf clippings. People think they are hard to grow, but they are not. I water once a week from the bottom and have flowers all the time!

that is so cool angela! i'd love to try them, but just don't have a sunny enough window in the sun room or any where else, and now where to keep them away from tucker the curious cat.. we are surrounded with tall pines and a few big oaks, so have to do the gardening outside.

I have all mine packed onto a bakers rack, there is no room now for my over grown cats to get in there!! But I know exactly what you mean, they are the reason I never bring fresh flowers inside... they chew everything!!
