I found this video showing how the rule of 3rds is commonly applied.
The video is just a grid superimposed over an existing video to show how often it's followed/used.
It's amazing how much video/movies follow this rule.

Got it! The tune in the 1st one is catchy, along with the visual reinforcement. Also reminds me to also slow down when filming to recheck composition. Thanks for the post.
