any captures with this combination? thinking of adding a 70-300 to my micro 4/3 body MY main sys is NIkon, but seems like a good solution with the extra reach of the "600" equivalent

I bought the GX7 and Panasonic 100-300 for wildlife. I've had some luck with it, but am not the worlds best wildlife photographer. I'm sure it is not a Nikon equivalent, but it was a fraction of the price. And, it is small and light.

Thanks, not too bad, maybe not Nikon prime sharp, but acceptable, at least and very light

Well done.

One of the reasons I picked the GX7 was to shoot video clips of wildlife. You can see a few here: http://vimeo.com/84832972

The white wolf at Yellowstone was a very long ways away! When I shot it, I was surrounded with people using Nikons and Canons with huge lenses. The person next to me saw my little camera and offered to let me look through her big camera and lens that I think was worth about $15K. I returned the offer. She was quite surprised that our viewfinders showed about the same thing.

You are welcome. Thanks for watching it.

My goal with it is to continue building it as a kind of personal library of wildlife in motion. It is a slow process. The wildlife does not pose for video very often and I have amateur equipment. It's still fun.

Olympus OMD-EM5 with the Panasonic 100-300 at 300mm. No significant difference between the EM-5 and the GX7. Highly recommended!
