How true it is! I raised four of them never thought I would make it through it :-D . My youngest is now 21. For all the parents raising teenagers good luck  .

The surprising part is the turn out more like us and if we are lucky enough to see our grandchildren come along we watch the pay back. I remember my daughter who was having problems with daughter calling me one day complaining and ask did I put you Mom through all of this?

My Dad didn't know anything when I was a teenager, but he has sure learned a lot since then.

The son of one of my friends called his mother one day and asked, "What is the phone number of those slave traders you were going to sell us to?" And his kids haven't even hit the teens yet!

Raising teenagers is like trying to nail Jello-O to the wall.

Hmmmm seems most of us adults forgot we were teens once. No matter your ago now, when you were a teen we all need to spread ours wings. Most of made it through that time in our life with not too many wounds. :)

When I look back at my generations childhood I wonder how we survived without Nanny Health and Safety stopping us doing things in case we hurt ourselves.

I agree. When I would leave the house with my bicycling friends, all my mom would say was: "just remember to be home in time for supper". None of us had bicycle helmets and we would stop at places and drink water out of a garden hose.
