Any idea if this is compatible with the arca swiss plates? Really crowded for time at the moment. I will try to research it if the answer isn't at your fingertips.

Yes. It is absolutely compatible with Arca Swiss. There are two types of Arca Swiss clamping mechanisms - the quick release (has a lever) and the clamp with a screw knob. Mine is the clamp/screw knob. There is no chance of your lens accidentally being released from the Sidekick. Google it for better pictures and descriptions. You will also find that my price is very reasonable.
