I realize this is not nearly as good of a photograph as many of you do, but I want to keep his thread going and this is pretty cute for these 4 year olds. I have learned a lot from just looking at this thread. I have no clue how to PP so it's right out of the camera.
Herd Ball
It is adorable!!!! I think you did very good with these little guys!!!
good job! keep up the good work and welcome to the sports section!
Wow, 4 year olds actually working the ball. Nice action capture. Fun at this age because they play in a pack. Don't be afraid to use some software for PP. Many have easy automatic adjustments that you can use to make your pictures better.
Thank you all for your kind comments. It is extreme fun to watch these little guys. Several times one would run as fast as they could to the sideline to get a hug. Got one running but missed the hug because I didn't know what was happening. I would love suggestions on angles and what needs to be PP. I am pretty clueless.
Now it's your turn. Your photos are inspirational!
The nice thing about this age is the field is small. I like to stand about 15 feet left or right of the goal along the end line. At this age refs don't care. Catch the offense bringing the ball down the field. They tend to not cut across the field like older kinds. This works as long as the sun is at your side or behind. Direct bee line to the goal.
Don't forget to take some pics of coaches too.
For PP, you may only need to auto correct Light Level or Contrast. And Crop to how you want it. There are a lot of software out there. I'm not sure which would be easiest to start with for simple adjustments.
Here are a few of mine. These kids are 5 & 6.
Great shots! Love the intensity of the kids. I'll try the positions to the goal posts next week. Thank you.

Good stuff. I love youth sports. One thing that you can try is sit or kneel when shooting sports especially children. The lower angle will change the perspective, I think you will like the results.
