Alabama Starts Issuing Marriage Licenses to Gay Couples After Supreme Court Denies State's Request for a Hold.

I think this should be left up the State of Alabama.

Wh**ever your opinion I just don't see that it hurts anybody. I know you think they are sinners and that's fine but even if you are right their sin isn't going to harm you any. No church will be required to marry them if it doesn't approve. Sometimes I wonder why they want all the pain and agony the straight world has lived with these many years but since they do more power to them.

I still can't figure out why this upsets people. If you don't believe same sex couples should marry then don't marry someone of the same sex.
Why these old men need to control things that are none of their business is a mystery to me.

What about the Alabama State supreme court chief justice? He's been tossed from office for disobeying the federal courts before. Do you think it will happen again? Do you think this is just political for him?

It's not just old men who don't like it, it's old women young men, young women boys, girls and most everyone is against it.
What nasty filthy things these mentally unfit poor excuse for human beings do. They should be rounded up and put them all in the same prison and let them do anything they want to do,.,.,.

You want to put them in prison for having sex in ways you don't approve of? Is this just because you want to hear all the testimony about these sexual activities? What is your reasoning? You don't want to arrest me for attempting to use logic do you?

Well Frankie boy, we finally agree on something. I just think I'll pass on marrying some guy simply because I find it repugnant when I think about two grown men flip/flopping around on a king sized bed performing oral sex on each other. Gag and puke is my reaction.

I don't care what people do in the privacy of their own bedrooms. They can pull out the whips and leather or what ever their perversion may be and it will not affect me.

Do we make this a political issue or a religious issue or is it a mixture of both. When taken out of the bedroom and into the courts then it is no longer a private issue but a public issue that does affect us all. The courts decisions opens the doors to other issues for us all rather we accept the life style of gays or not. The rights of one group will be forced upon the rights of others who may disagree with that type of life style. We have already seen what has happen with the Baker and the photographer. Already there are some denominations who have gone against the teachings of the bible to involve themselves in the issue of gay marriage, in effect, giving their approval. Who is to say that this gay rights will some day be forced upon churches who want to follow the scriptural teachings of the bible and refuse to conduct ceremonies of marriage for gays. I see no end in sight to resolve this issue as there will be more court battles ahead and little by little we all will be forced to conform.

Why spend any time thinking about it? I'm not sure if I would say that I approve but it's none of my business so I don't have to approve I just have to mind my own business.

Actually thommy, my little good buddy I don't. I do resent it being shoved in my face with silly repugnant parades, news stories and homosexuals crying about a baker not baking them a cake. It is indeed hard to mind my own business when it's so prevalent on a daily, if not hourly basis in today's society.

I believe in live and let live, but I want the homosexuals to show just a little bit of class and get out of my face!

I do understand what you are saying but at the same time I wonder if you might be over reacting but I'm not where you are so who can say. If I were a baker I wouldn't think I should be able to refuse to make a cake for two women or two men. If they wanted me to make it graphic beyond what I was comfortable with then probably I should be able to refuse. If the Government wanted to mandate that a church marry gay people and their beliefs didn't allow it I think that would be out of line but I don't see that happening. I'm not crazy about gay p***e parades but at the same time why shouldn't they have as much right to celebrate as say Irish. I think when as many people with as many customs and beliefs as there are here live close together we all have to be willing to be just a little uncomfortable on occasion.

Banshee, there has always been homosexuality, always. Because it takes thousands of years before it's acknowledged, just shows the ignorance of our country yet you want to continue going backwards??? Sorry this hurts your gentle sensibilities. What are you being asked to conform to? Loving a man? Doubtful. People just want to be with whom they love, is this so difficult to understand? It doesn't affect you, move on...
