Abstract
Welcome - really like your black & whites. Such pictures have been on my mind of late. Seems to me that digital blk & whts just don't have the same depth of tones that film did - but I like yours. What or how do you convert - or do your shoot in black and white from the get go. I seldom do any pure black & whites but I like to reduce the saturation greatly for more of a mono tone color photo. Where were your pictures taken? Guessing not near me in Nebraska. Enjoy the day.

I really love your pictures. Especially the Lion. I think they are beautiful creatures. How did you take a picture that totally captures him. I am new to photography and am interested in taking captivating pictures as yours. Did you learn from profesionals or taught yourself? Really Great!
Hi Jchutchins, I really love your picture of the Lion. Tell me more about the photo please. Thanks for sharing
Thanks. The way I make b&W is first I adjust the image in Aperture. I adjust exposure, levels, curves, contrast and saturation. Then I export to Photoshop and use the channel mixer to create a monochrome image. I print on an Epson r2880 with K3 inks on Moab Entrada bright white. My prints rival my silver halide prints of ole. Thanks for the kind comments.

I especially like the second one as one can feel the mood of the subject.
