On facebook I was challenged to a 5 day BW challenge. No competition just shoot a BW everyday for 5 days. Those kind of things tend to give me some practice on other types of photography. So anyway while I am learning my Fish Eye lens on a FX camera I thought I would also practice with some BW on the fire place. Here is the BW and the Color. On the BW I must admit I messed with not only the Contrast, Exposure, Vibrance, and Saturation, I also heavily increased the reds while decreasing the yellows. I like the effect. Both shots are the same shot.
Data:
D610
16 MM Fish Eye
f2.8
1/10 of sec (hand held)
ISO-800
Nice shots. I dig the black and white. How are you liking the 16mm fisheye?

I love it, finding all kinds of things I want to try with it. This weekend is supposed to be nice so I bet I get a few shots. I really did not get it for the typical landscape shooting but for the what I call weird photography shots, something like the fire place shot.
I like the B&W version. Those are two things I would never have thought about using together. I love when someone shows me the world through different eyes!! :) Thanks!
