This 4 month old camera was bought from B&H on Nov. 4, 2011. I have the receipt. Lens is a AF-S Nikkor 18-105mm 1:3.5-5.6G ED. Lens was purchased earlier for my D90 but never used. I put on a 300mm on the D90. D5100 was purchased body only. Lens has never been taken off so sensor should have no dust. Includes a UV lens protector, cheat sheet and a LCD plastic screen protector which snaps on or off. I have the original box with all documentation which includes Nikons ViewNX 2 DVD. Reason for selling Lens's overlap. Price $975 plus shipping.
I also have a Kenko Pro 300 1.4x converter in original box. I tried it on my 400mm but thought it was a little soft for bird photos. All functions worked like B&H said they would. Price $150 or $125 with the camera. Contact me here in Minnesota with a PM or email wkscheer@rrt.net

Have you checked prices online lately? You sound kind of high.

New camera $650. If you can find one. Lens about $400. Extras about $50. 8 months camera warranty left. At least this camera has been checked out with 988 pictures taken. Most were taken at Thanksgiving, Christmas and a birthday of grand-kids in burst mode. What do you think the price should be? Or I could throw in the 1.4x converter which was $234. the last time I looked.

Ok,well I was just going by this: www.amazon.com/Nikon-D5100-Digital-18-55mm-3-5-5-6/dp/B004V4IWKG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1330838902&sr=8-1

I got the 18-105 as a kit lens with my D90.I had no idea it was worth that much.Sorry,I didn't mean anything by it.

You can also buy a new D5100 for $319 so would you buy that? Amazon is not the best place to buy. Too many returns. Thats probably what they are selling.

That $319. is not on Amazon. Probably stolen property. You get what you pay for. I think I have a buyer for my camera. Or I may give it to my grand-daughter if he can't come up with the money.
What is a prime customer?

You pay, I think it's $79/yr., and you get free 3 day shipping and $3.99 2 day. Plus there are free videos and stuff. If you wanted to sell just the body, I might be interested.

Now I understand what prime is, guess I seen that before. What would you give me for just the body?

I'd sell the camera with the 1.4x converter that sells at B&H for $223.85. See original post on that. The cheat sheet and the snap on screen protector would have to go with it. All four items for $700. I'd still have to wait untill the other guy gets back to me but I'm not giving him much more time.

Well,I don't really need the 1.4x converter....I have a 2x Nikon already.

I understand a Nikon 2x will only work on a few lens's and have all the functions work. Which lens do you use it on?

I use it on my 70-300,and I have a cheapo 500mm I play with. It's true none of the electronic functions work, but to me a converter is just for play. For anything serious,I'd try to get closer with just a plain lens.

All the functions work with the 1.4x and will work on a 70-300mm. I have a 70-300 but no need to use it because my Nikon 80-400mm covers that. As you know you only lose one stop with a 1.4x.
