I am looking for a photographer for my wedding. The wedding is July 21st in north central IN. Please reply with your rates and sample pictures that you've taken. If you have a website, please include that as well. I have priced photographers and am not happy with pricing, so please be reasonable. The ceremony will be small as will the guest list.

Maybe she wants some one to pay her for the privilege of taken the pictures.

I hear ya Old Timer but on the other hand she's created an opportunity for someone to make a call and sell her on their services....just sayin.

Comments from both points of view is the reason I posted the add. I hope the marriage last till they get every thing paid for.

I have friends that are HE Wedding Photographers. They have a team, that shoots, from early morning till late at night. They create some of the most beautiful books I have ever seen and I can be one picky individual. Do they get real High fees, yes, but then they deliver the goods. I have also see the cut rate Digital crap that a lot of so called photographers are dishing out. Is it overpriced, depends on who you ask, and what is given. I get paid more than a lot of other Fashion Photographers, am I worth it, I guess I must since I get lots of work. It is what you give and when it is delivered that I think also creates that worth.

Mom,
She will probably pick someone from the group she gets quotes and photos from. The HE Wedding Photographers would not even think of responding. The people that hire HE firms are not worried about how much it costs, they want results and this is what they produce, Quality and Expertise, plus a delivery schedule that works. In most instances you get what you pay for.

My morbid curiosity is kicking in, I want how bad the posing is, the over the top PP and the blown highlights, then I want to see what they charge for these "artist" shots.

I've said it before, I'm a big photo snob, lol.

HERE WE GO AGAIN..... someone who wants great photos from unknowns.. but for a LOW COST.. It reminds me of the guy who bought a band=aid, and now thinks he is a doctor. CONCLUSION: poster, go to a local photo studio pay the cost & hope the marriage lasts.

I'm guessing that she won't be spending $10,000 on a wedding dress and $5,000 on the wedding cake or whatever people with lots of money or high limit credit cards spend and expecting to spend pocket change on the photographer.

So maybe she needs an education on what goes in to creating a quality product. Or maybe all she can afford is someone who can at least record the event with good, not great images, and hopefully someone doesn't try to pass off lemons as lemonade.
