Shot last Weds., one of the few days I was able to find blue sky beyond Yakima's stubborn inversion layer of thick, cold fog and drizzle.

Your barn photos are really good. Thanks for the explanation and link. I had never heard of this before and it is a neat concept. What a great way to create interest in these older building and what a good way to inadvertently promote photography.

Thank you all so much. I appreciate your taking the time to view and comment!

I was first alerted to the project by UHH user Steve O. I'd probably driven by a few of the barns with quilts in another town, Ellensburg, and just never given any notice. It was fun to print the maps from their website and do the tour :)

Excellent set Linda. I'm a fan of old barns. Even though some of them are in sad shape, there are still a lot of good ones around. I too noticed quilted barns and wondered what that was all about. They seem to be in every state. Fun and interesting to see some of yours out West.

James, Pat and Bob - thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed, and interesting to know there are barn quilt projects in other states as well. I'll have to see what Google comes up with :)

Linda, come to Conconully Wa. There are barn quilts on almost every building in town. And while there, stop in for a cup of coffee.

Cool find Linda...I saved it in my browser favorites. Never know when you need to find a cool barn to photograph. Barns are a favorite theme in many photo contests. Thanks so very much.
