Ankucken means to "look at" I think. We used to say Kucken sie das an. It was a split verb and when a second person is used or a command is given in the sentence you put the prep at the end sometimes it's the verb.. That was the closest word I could think of. Es tut mir leid!
Thanks for going to all the trouble to look up translations Speaking German like that would get the Germans to speak in English which for the most part they were reluctant to dlo unless they spoke it perfectly which many wouldn't unless they lived in the British empire or the States. That was back in the '60's
