Like them all and #8, with the sky in focus as background, adds to the proud look showing the birds long tail. Is that some kind of western mockingbird?

It is the Yellow-billed Magpie. They are indigenous to the Central valley of California. They are another member of the Corvidae family that includes jays, and crows, etc.

Yellow-billed Magpie. They are only found in California.
