Finally had a chance to shoot some wrestling this year. It seems like one of the tougher sports to capture faces and having to deal with color cast and lighting due to the mats.
Nice shots. When you add photos to a post, tick the "store original" box. That allows others see much larger versions of the images.

Good stuff, our son wrestled in high school so this really brings back memories!

well done I love the sport
Excellent action captures!
Nice work. I've also done a few wrestling matches and know how difficult it is to get good shots, especially of faces. The lighting leaves a lot to be desired. In our area its hard to get on the floor to do photos because the cheer leaders seem to go out and sit along the mat whenever one of their team is wrestling. Having to shot from the stands my only choice was to use a 70 or 80 -200 2.8. Obviously the vr doesn't do any good with so much action. Shots 2 and 3 blown up to 2x3 posters would make one of the lads a very appreciated Christmas present. I know, I did one for my grandson and its proudly displayed on his wall.
Curious as to settings on these images?
I have been experimenting with several different lens and find my 50mm has been the "best" so far as I can shoot at a 1.8 since no flash allowed.
However...LOTS of noise! Am I restricted because of my camera? T5i?
I would appreciate any help at all...

When I shoot wrestling, I am mainly using a 70-200 f/2.8 lens. Settings are usually f/2.8, 1/ 640, iso 4000-6400. I shoot RAW and post process through Lightroom CC. Looking at your image, it just looks like it is just lacking some post processing. Another thing to think about is noise will not show up as much if printed since the printing softness tends to soften the image and the noise a touch.
Thank you for the input...
Today I threw caution into the wind and went to sports mode and monochrome.
I'm curious to see how the images came out.
