One dive with Thrasher sharks, but at 100' and no strobes allowed, could not focus camera, so only a great memory. The sardine run was crazy, see diver in pic for reference. Then whale shark dive was another wide angle opportunity.

Awesome! I've always wanted to see a Whale Shark while diving. Great macro photos too.

Nice again. What was their reason for not allowing strobes?
Thxs for compliments. The reason for no strobes on thrasher shark dive are their sensitive very large eyes. They hunt and live deep, then come up to a cleaning station at about 100' early morning and then go deep again when sun is up. No strobes because they are concerned the flash would drive them away from this particular cleaning station which is a big cash draw for the operators.
The same reason for no strobes on whale shark dive is the concern they would move away from a very lucrative business . I did a snorkel because they feed on the surface and with plenty of sunshine, I could get within a few feet of them. The warning was to stay 12' away, but hard to maintain that distance with so many of them swimming from fisherman boats who fed them. We got on site at 6:30am, but by 7:30 there were bus loads of snorkelers in the water from resorts all over the area.
