Just completed 2 weeks on leave aboard and one week at land based operation. Over 1,000 pics and still editing. I'll post a few macro here and start another topic with wide angle.

Nice Critter, which live-aboard?
Nice! Really like the Candy Crab!

and which land based? I.e. Where is Turtle Bay? I haven't heard of it (and I have been to the Philippines four times now). The Philippines cover a lot of area.
Based on your other pictures of the Sardines, I would guess you were at Moalboal, and based on the Whale Shark, I would guess you were at Oslob.
Enjoyed them all, great shark pics
Thx to all reply, the live aboard was the Philippine Siren, a great boat and I have been on many. I have video of this boat if you want to send your email.

You're right on the money about locations of the sardines and the whale sharks. We did this from the live aboard, but you could schedule from Turtle Bay Resort located in Moalboal. They have a great website if you Google that name.
We did 15 dives out of Moalboat with Turtle Bay Resort and 12 days on the Siren with 45 dives
Trying to attach a large file of the Philippine Siren
Good shots, Critter-Hunter!
JoeBiker, I'll attached our ship route for your info of dive sites around Cebu.

I did the Siren in Palau and Fiji. The Fiji Siren does a 10 day cruise that I want to do. Is the 12 day on the Philippine Siren a normal one or did you have one set up special?
Nothing special, but normally only 10 days, with a few 12 day trips mixed in to the schedule.
Cool, that looks like a great trip, you got good sampling of a lot of locations. I have done a lot of those sites from land based resorts (except for Malapascua and Bohol, planning those for a future trip). I also recommend the Anilao region, for macro.
The only live-aboard that I have done in the Philippines is the Azores to Tubbataha (because you can't do Tubbataha any other way).
I find land-based resorts in the Philippines to be a great bargain, but live-aboards to not be much cheaper than other locations. So, for the Philippines, I usually do a few resorts per trip, transferring between them via ferries and vans.
Hey Joe,
Thay's what did on my first trip to Philippines. One week in Anilao, secret bay a great find, then boat across to Puerto Galera, back to Manila to fly to Dumagette, fast ferry to Bohol. The biggest pain was flying domestic
