I haven't practised this much lately as our sea is usually quite flat but today we had some waves. Also I haven't posted here for some time and as a member of the group I feel I should participate more than I do.

All taken with Nikon D7000, 18-105 lens, f14 for 30 seconds.

I love them all! You did a great job with composition. You captured interesting skies. And of course I love the effects of long exposure. Did you use an ND filter, since it seems like a long exposure for the ambient light that was available.

These are all truly beautiful. Please post more pictures of your homeland when you can.

Beautiful Brenda!! Thanks for posting here. I didn't see this forum. Been to busy and not enough play time. It is always dark by the time I get home.:( I just made it a topic to watch. After 40 years it is good to learn.:)

Thank you rizer, yes I forgot to mention that I used a Tiffen No.3 ND filter which is equivalent to about 10 stops of light.

Thanks you Cwilson, Erv, and MikeD. I am still learning this but I do love long exposure effects - just need to work at it more.

Those are great shots! I think you ought to post them in the photo section so they will get more exposure (more people will see them). I'm hoping to get out somewhere and get such photos someday!

Thanks dlmorris, I look forward to seeing your long exposures. It is an interesting and challenging topic.

Love every shot. So dream-like. And refreshing to look at since all I can see out my window is a couple of feet of snow.

Thanks dragonswing, yes, snow is beautiful but quite inconvenient after a while. I expect you have taken a lot of photos of it.

I wish! I think I need a new shutter since it does not seem to release each time I want to take a photo.
