Mountain Goats on Cliff Above Salt Lake City

Winter brings the Mt. Goats down to lower elevations (still pretty high). Their balance while nonchalantly negotiating the cliffs is impressive.

Wow - impressive! With any luck, I'll find mountain goats and other similar wildlife on my trip to 3 national parks this summer.

Thanks. I waited in hope that he would jump. Got another of a "kid" leaping off a boulder too. Wish I had their agility.

Chances are you will. N.P.s are great places to find wildlife.

About 2/3 of the way up Big Cottonwood Canyon. They're around on the cliffs if you look hard enough & often enough.

If Glacier is one your schedule you'll see dozens on Logan pass when it opens in mid June.
