I was walking a wash up next to a golf course with my camera yesterday and found this guy looking for food on the golf course. I used my Tamron 150-600 with my monopod. Constructive criticism appreciated.

Your focus is spot on with great shallow depth of field. Great perspective too (not looking down at the subject, but almost on the same level). I like these very much. Only thing I'd do in PP is clean the background noise.

Thank you for looking. I was down in the wash so didn't even have to bend down to get the perspective. LOL. I did use Topaz denoise but maybe I didn't reduce noise enough. I will give them another little touch up and see if it helps. Thanks for your input.

Fullframe had a good suggestion, which I would have applied only to the top photo and not the others. I love these funny critters and I think you did a nice job with the photos and captions. Would love to see these three side by side with your captions. I think they would make an adorable series.

I took the first photograph back into PS and gave it another run thru De Noise and cleaned it up a bit. Thank you for looking and glad you like the captions.....

Very nice images, Myrna. I have no criticism, but would only say that they might have more mass appeal if you could have introduced some surrounding items to help either frame the bird or otherwise create more of a pleasing overall image. Having said that, I realize all too well that at times, that just isn't possible and you have to take what's given you.

I like them, and they are candid of this interesting species of birds. A little story, while riding a motorcycle down in the Big Bend Area of south Texas I hit one and the guys riding behind me saw it all and they said it looked like hitting a pillow, there were feathers all over the place. We all had to pull over to get the feathers out of our radiators. Birds are nothing but air, I knew when I hit him I knew it only by sight, the bike barely responded to the collision. I was trying to avoid him, but he back tracked on me and I was out of road.

Thanks for looking. Yes some framing would have been nice but all I was dealt was a lot of green grass.

I think this fellow is not very colorful as flying birds tend to be, and thus your pics end up with only 3 colors. Blame mother nature who tries to hide Roadrunner on the ground. May be just some tighter cropping? Still, sharp bird.
