It's been such lousy weather, I haven't been outside much. I've taken my dogs for walks but they do better if I don't have the camera. They don't like to stop and stand around while I shoot things. So these are some old ones I've worked on.

beautiful job on these amy!

Well done! No. 3 & No. 6 are my favorites. No. 6 reminds me of a scene
from the film "Kansas."

All good but love number 4, certainly would enjoy seeing the colored version of that one. I am not a B and W guy, but number 4 really lends itself to B and W. Nicely done!

Here it is. It is basically unremarkable. I first did a rendering on it, then turned it into b/w. This was taken when I was still a novice. Well, I'm still one, but now I'm a better novice!

I like the daisies, tree and barn and trees scenes.

Your right, I wouldn't get too excited over the colored version. Yet in B & W it looks GREAT! (maybe its that "ugly duck" syndrone) Because I don't do any B & W, what is your normal workflow in this case. Would you use your rendered copy, change it to B & W and then adjust if required.

Lovely series. I really like the shades in the barn and the cool milkweed shot.

Most times I work on the original-brighten, darken, sharpen-whatever it needs, then determine if it lends itself to b/w. Sometimes, I do a rendering, then change it to b/w. Both ways work. I never shoot in b/w.

I really am gravitated to the second shot, as photography as an art is subjective and to the eyes of the beholder, and I behold that second shot!

Thanks, PJ. I never tire of taking photos of that tree and road. I bet I have at least 20 shots of it taken in all seasons with all kinds of cloud formations that occur here where I live. My neighbor, who owns the tree, has ceased even asking why!
