I'm curious if anyone out there has experience using some of the older Canon lenses with the FD mounts, with an adaptor on some of the newer Canon EOS bodies.
I've heard they have a "focus confim" feature and wonder how that actually works out in practice, and are you finding the quality of the glass to be adequate.
I was thinking about posting the same question, especially using one for macro photography. I did some research today looking for some info, especially a prime lens. Maybe one of the macro shooters can help with some answers.

I have a "Kipon" brand adapter purchased from local camera store. There is no electronics or electronic, contacts. All manual (manual focus).

You will have to shoot manual with an adapter. Be careful if you are using a 20-50 D. The mirror may hit the lens back.
Good question will be folliwing this as i have anumber of fd lenses from my a1. Also wonder about using my pentax 645 lenses
Hello folks how well will FD lenses work on a 7D Canon camera.
I was wondering the same thing. I want to upgrade my xti to an xti3 but don't know if the lenses I have will work. I suppose they will, but one never knows. I know I have a magnifier from a Rebel that I had that won't work on the xti.
I'm particularly interested in quality, what camera you might be using with it, what adaptor brand, and also if you are using the "focus confirm" feature.
