My cats Petey and Lily were saved after being abandoned in the woods. Petey was a scrawny, skinny thing. Now, he looks like an ocelot with a relatively small head, slinky body, looooong tail and silky fur. In contrast, Lily is a "regular" tiger cat. Both are very affectionate, but Petey only as I'm about to close my eyes for dreamland. I don't know how he times it! And Lily is the one who paws at our faces at 6 AM to get fed. As everyone who has animals has said, they truly add years to our lives.

If I love you, will you move over?

Our cats used to wake us up in the morning, so we moved their meal time to the evening.

We keep dry food out all day. In the AM, we feed them canned food. If we change their schedule, I fear they might become neurotic. Then, what would happen?!!!

Thanks, Linda From Maine. They find warm places to sleep.

Yeah, the canned food is essentially what changed. We figured that it was a choice between our becoming neurotic and their becoming neurotic.

Thanks so much. We've been so lucky with our pets. Not one that wasn't a delight. I even bonded with the hermit crab my daughter brought home!

It's amazing how many doppelgangers there are in the cat world. I think more so than with dogs. Thanks for looking!
