I have been perusing the UH site for several weeks and have already picked up several great hints and ideas - great forum! I live on the intracoastal waterway (ICW) facing west and have many opportunities for sunsets.
As an avid photographer, forever it seems, I
have thousands of 35mm slides - and I want to convert a few hundred to a digital format - any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you! :)

Welcome to the forum Dr J!
Here's a link to help you navigate the forum.

This topic has been discussed many times - most discussion indicate using a scanner but some suggest places to have it done.

I used the search function and entered convert slides to dvd for the following sampling of the results:

Welcome to the forum form the Gulf Coast!

Co-incidentally, just before reading your post here, I was reading an e-mail from Epson - they have specials all the time and today's is 15% off. I too, have slides, negatives and prints I would like to digitize. They have many to choose from and cost s are reasonable I think.

Enjoy this site and share some of your work.

You are welcome.

I don't have any experience with equipment of that type. However, I do have a great deal of faith and trust in Epson as a company so they would be one of the first two companies I would consider - the other being Nikon.

You will likely get additional advice from other readers, you may also use the search function which you will find under the forum name above.

When you have made your choice and are getting to work, keep us posted so we can learn from your experiences.
