For anyone else who is interested, B&H sells reconditioned ones for $ 350 and Nikon for $ 380 and they're actually in stock. I'm thinking @ one myself.

Bought one refurbished from B&H a few weeks ago for and am quite pleased. It's not a "pocket" camera but is very handy regardless. Haven't seen them mentioned much and was beginning to wonder if there was something wrong with them.

I have a Canon G15 which is a very similar camera with just a few differences and I love it. It takes amazing shots.
