I am considering getting the Pentax-DA 1.4x AW AF Rear Converter.

So, if the EXIF data says my 100m is a 140mm, and therre is a lens correction for the 100mm, what is available for the 140mm extension?

I don't know, but I just ordered one from B&H for 496 bucks, I'll be back when It arrives, I have read rave reviews of the bugger. Hope all are accurate.

I am not sure what you are asking Richard. But if you put the TC 1.4 on your 100mm it will turn it into a 140mm lens. And that will show up in your data in camera.

Lens correction in LR shows the Pentax 100mm and I would use that selection. However, the 1.4 converter makes it a 140mm lens (effectively). Since it just magnifies the image by 1.4, I think I answered my own question and should use the 100mm lens correction.

Thanks for the response.

Look it up on Adobe's website. They list all the lens correction profiles that are available in Lightroom. If that 1.4X is a new model, there might not be a profile created for it yet. In that case, you might want to get on the Adobe Lightroom Forum and ask some questions about when it might be available or to request it. In the meantime, you might try the 100mm lens profile and see how it works.

So you are suggestiong that Adobe may have a correction profile for the 1.4 converter used with the 100mm lens? Would they also have a different one for the 1.4 and a 200mm lens? I do not see a listing at the Adobe site.
