Macro Extension Tube Set ??? cannot get it on the camera
Oh boy, it's me again. I bought a Zeikos AF digital Macro Extension Tube set. When I mount it onto the camera, and then the lens....it does not attach to the camera body ??? I am the kind of gal who will bust it if I play too long with it. Is there a trick ? I am very frustrated......... Thanks !
I am always VERY wary of using any of this Chinese bargain priced equipment, especially on good quality photo gear. China has NO quality control and warranties are just a pipe dream. I hope you don't damage your body or your lens with this stuff.
Thanks.....I have put it all away. I am going to bite the bullet and buy a good macro lens.

Always the wisest choice!
what brand of camera, an what make model tubes
I have that set and use it on a Canon XSI. You have to take out what you do not want in then put the ends back to original position to determine the desired length. They are not well marked so be sure the little pin near the shiny release is lined to the hole in the lens or it will not lock in place. They are cheap but do work to reasonable degree. Not good but better than nothing. I found that if use the 7 or 14 mm they are not bad, over that I can not get a good focus. I have better luck with the nifty fifty.
can you put lil paint or nail polish on before you take apart
Extension tubes are actually designed to use with macro lenses. They will fit standard lenses as well, but you will find best results with a designated macro lens.
I have used the Kenco auto extension tubes with Nikon and Canon cameras with excellent results. I have used them on macro lens and on telephoto lens up to 600mm.
Hi, I am new here, and I had the same problem with my Canon with the Kit lens. I found out my macro tubes do not work with Kit lens. I bought a new lens, and it works great.
Hi, I bought one of these way back when and quickly realized most times you get what you pay for. The OP has it right as need to bite the bullet and buy a good piece of glass for the purpose. Have fun and keep shootin'. Mike
I have the Kenko set for my Sony A550 and works great with my 18-250, but especially well with my Minolta 28-85 Macro.
Sorry,I spelled Kenco wrong.
I've had a set of these and they are tricky to take on and off....you have to move that little pin sticking out on the outside to release.
Put in youtube "putting macro extension tubes on camera" and you'll get more than one video showing how.
They work but they are no sub for a 1:1 Macro lens.
i have the Kenko set for my Canon and love them. I use it with my soft focus lens which is not a macro because I wanted to focus closer. I also have the Canon extension tubes which I bought years ago for my first Rebel DSLR when it first came out,but you had to set the camera on manual to use them but they sure did do a great job.
