This is a genuine Canon mount ring NOT a knockoff. It allows better balanced tripod mounting of Canon's older EF 80-200mm f/2.8 L and newer EF 200mm f/2.8L and EF 200mm f/2.8L II lenses. It would also work with any lenses that require the A(B)II, A(W), and A(W)II mount rings. The designations being that (B) means the ring is black in colour and (W) is white. While this mount is supplied with no box or paperwork, to look at it you would believe it has never been used. I am selling this mount because I bought a EF 80-200mm f/2.8L lens and was under the impression the mount was not included, So I went ahead and obtained one. When the lens arrived it had a mount and a hood, so I am selling this one.

The A and A II are interchangeable. Although the lenses are white (W), the Ring A will also work with the 70-200 f/4L (IS and non IS) and the 400L f/5.6.
