Post your weird or unusual photos!

We go to Charleston at least 4 times a year and this past year or so, I have caught two very unusual pictures, one on my cell phone and this one. I took hundreds and hundreds of pictures this trip but none of them had this showing up!

So, what are the thoughts about this....
I believe it's a ghost. But I am sure others have a different thought on it and I am open to another explanation. I hope I have it so that it can be downloaded for a closer look.

Post your weird or unusual.

Well, people can laugh if they want to but if they experienced what I have, they would surely believe in them.
I almost missed that one. I was looking at the man who favors George Washington, standing in the window/door that comes out on the that little balcony upstairs!

I am surprised because I really was hoping there would be an explanation from those in photography that would be able to tell me it was something else that the camera or lens did that I wouldn't know about.

I can't explain it other than thinking it could be a ghost of some sort.....

I have not seen anything with my eyes except a shadow shape in an old church with a cemetery next to it. Went out playing Ghost Hunter with my brother, son and nephews. LOL Just having some fun. We all saw something but didn't say what we saw so that we wouldn't taint it. Came home and we each drew a pic of it and all 6 of us had drawn the same dark shaped shadow....that was weird!

My hubby and I were in Charleston about 4 months before I took this pic, didn't have my D3100 yet, just a cell phone. Walking late at night downtown and walked by one of the old cemeteries there. Took some pics and when we got back to the hotel I was looking at the pics and saw a white shadow above a head stone. I had snapped a shot a second before that, same place and nothing was there. Hadn't seen it with my eyes, but it showed up in the camera.

Were you able to get any pictures?

Surely there are some of you that have gotten something in a picture you couldn't explain. Please post them here.......

I'll have to agree with Duane.

I can see in your 1st shot, in the lower left portion(horizontally), what looks to me like it could be the hood of your car. So, if you were taking the picture through the windshield, you could have picked up the reflection of the suns glare on that window.

If you were standing outside that car, then you got the glare reflection off the vehicle's surface onto your cameras lense.

*** Hey, I believe that we all know that ghosts are only visible to the eye, thus we'll never get a picture of them.

You're confused: you can't photograph a vampire, ghosts can be captured with a camera.

Don't be trying to spook me now!

I have had pictures of an 'X', soooo vampires are photographic but they must be considered as negatively phototactic.

I have come to face the fact that it had just been a bad shot on my part!

***This is just a sample of my poor comedic ability.

I see exactly what you are talking about. I can tell that is my passenger side mirror, but I was not shooting through any glass, I had the window down. Great catch and could explain it. But if I am facing my mirror how would that give off a reflection in front of me when the mirror itself isn't in the photo? Any thoughts..........

I wasn't sure how the picture was taken so that's why I gave two answers in my reasons for ghosts.

The 2nd statement was ment to cover "If not taking through a window". I was trying to say in that answer, that the arched edge that I saw at the bottom of the picture could have been "focusing" light at an angle onto the camera's lens or internals to cause a bright area in the photo.

These are statements for those that need to explain everything. I liked the picture and I don't care where the ghost came from, because it was a good shot and the ghost just adds to it.
