Hawks Nest, WV

many of you wont get this & that's ok - but this was a lil' pun.... there is an actual place called Hawks Nest, WV - course this is actually a Hawks nest ;) not the greatest pics but I have never seen two Hawks in a nest, at once. So this was a first for me. (just thought I'd share) :D
I was pretty far from the nest (Red Tail Hawks)

Oh wow! oh, Wow! It will be so neat to see a Hawk's nest. I have never seen one before. I'll bet it would be fun to watch them progress through the spring. Too bad the trees will probably have leaves blocking the view. Very good grab! You are so fortunate.

Thanks tainkc! I've had a blast trying 2 capture them sittin' in the trees & flying around.. I just got lucky getting' them both in the nest.

rlaugh - this was pretty much straight outta the camera - I'm terrible when it comes to messing with photo's & trying to put more color in - it always looks fake. (not sure I'll ever get the hang of that :( )

I over do everything I don't have the good sense to stop. I like the pictures of the hawks in thier nest . And the shot from Hawks Nest. I am also a West Virginian so I got it right off. I thought it was great play on words.

It's a great pic and it doesn't need much. You are doing a great job. That was just my opinion anyway and I may be way off base. Keep up the good work!

Well, I don't have enuff sense to know what I am doing - so that's why mine look fake & terrible.....lol. It was so hot the day we were there & of course the sky showed it - wasn't a beautiful day, as far as blue skies but the weather was awesome - 'cause I like the heat ;)
