A friend of mine was walking in Manhattan, and he came upon a small crew doing street interviews. They asked him a few simple questions. Off camera, the interviewer said that if he wanted to be considered for part of the final product, he would have to give some stupid answers. That's just what he did, although I guess his answers weren't stupid enough to make it into the final video.

In interview situations like this, you have to realize that these people are being caught off guard with a microphone and camera pointed at them. If they were given a list of questions ahead of time, I bet the results would be different.
