I am wondering if there is anyone out there who has mastered a technique of mixing flash with the HDR exposure process for real estate photos or has managed to to create bright enough HDR real estate photos using Photomatix without the assistance of a flash. My real estate photos are sell able but I feel I can do better. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. A few samples provided.

I think those look great! They are bright, warm and inviting.Did you use any flash? I wish I had fotomatix when I did real estate photos. Well even a digital camera!! Those look better than any real estate photos I've seen.

No...no flash...I have seen photos that seem to be sharper and brighter on the web over the past few years and have always wondered if flash has some how been introduced to the process. Thanks for the compliment.

All in all, I think your photos are great, good composition and lighting. Very livable, and your walls are all straight!!

Well...thanks again. I love real estate photography...but can be very challenging when the dwelling is less than photogenic. This particular listing was a photographers dream.

Hi: Got a question for you. Did you use a custom color balance for these photo's that you posted? Thanks. Great photo's.

No...here is a snap shot of the work flow. I allow Photomatix to save to the .tiff format default. The default .tiff is all I want with its default adjustments in tact. Then process in in Cs3. "Auto Levels" is the first adjustment...maybe "auto color" sometimes desaturate individual colors if ness....brighten and then sharpen. I don't do any post in Photomatix. Obviously its very important to maintain a realistic appearance... so over processing is a temptation but the rule I use is "moderation". Sometimes the "Clarity" adjustment in "Topaz" works very well then ease it down some if it looks too HDRish. The difficulty with HDRs is consistency of wall and carpet colors from pic to pic. I still have a lot to learn but it is very enjoyable...more screen time than I like some times but the reward is worth it.
