Awesome shot Gregory of a beauty of a bird!!
To think once, one landed in my yard and tried to help himself to some of my koi pond fish, but his plans were foiled since we put a net over the pond. An egret had come once before and had a mighty expensive lunch on us!

:-D

Good thing you put up the net Angela, he thought you set out a buffet for him, and I know the koi are not cheap. I had a neighbor once that had a pond and kept missing fish, we couldn't figure out what was happening, until one night I was out with the dog and saw an otter come out of the lake and help himself to dinner. Thanks so much, so glad you enjoyed, always appreciate your looking and kind comment

The GBH is not only our largest bird in the swamp, but the most vocal and loudest. There are times you may not see them, but you can always hear them. Here one is looking regal as he surveys the swamp. Please try the download

A masterpiece of creation indeed!
