I might have spoken too soon. I see that this teleconverter only works with certain length lenses, Sorry for posting without my glasses on!

It will work, but IQ will suffer and auto focus will take a hit when stopped down if you have the af-s version. If you have the D version af will not work at all.

There is some degradation, but not what most would call unacceptable I think. I use mine with my 70-200 f/2.8 routinely with 'more' than acceptable results... :thumbup:

Wait until Sunday, it will go for MUCH more. If you want this lens, I'd suggest that you jump on it at this price. I have this exact model and I consider it one of Nikon's best. YMMV.
