The owner was not around to query about this auto so the title is my best guess... I don't think the rear fender rocker panels are right tho....

1950 Chevrolet Deluxe. Fleetwood was Cadillac. Chevrolet also had a Fleetline slope back. The fender skirts are correct for this car.

I think it's a '49, judging from the beads on the fenders. Could be wrong

The hood ornament is definitely an Art Deco Statement. Gotta love it!!

I looked online and found some photos of 50 & 52 models with a couple of lines pressed into the chrome kicker panels on the rear fenders. I also found at least one photo of a 49 with panels like the one in my photo.

My grand son didn't know what fender skirts were so I showed him the photo. He just asked why they would put something like that on a car. I don't think the kids today have a clue about such things.

The majority, yes... I work with mechanics and there are a select few that have an innate love of things mechanical that translates into a passion for classic american iron.... as 12 year olds some of these guys could have given you all the details and more. They ARE the exception though...
