Radio Controlled Planes in Flight

These photos were taken at the Maloof Air Park in Albuquerque, NM. Many of these model planes are rather large and the flying skills of the pilots are impressive. I thought I'd share a few of the photos I have taken...believe it or not, getting good photos of these planes in flight isn't as easy as you might think...and the detail of the planes is something to see.

I'm impressed with how many different planes fly at the park...most aren't cheap styrofoam, but well built and detailed replicates. It has been both fun and a challenge getting good photos of them in flight.

I belong to an rc club and take a lot of pictures of the member's planes for our Fb page. I also have the dynam Wako and the corsair. I agree on how hard it is to get these shots. You did a great job; nice pics! An especially great photo of the one as the landing gear is giving out. Your timing was perfect. I just got a Carbon-Z Cub with a 7ft wingspan, and I can't wait until spring to get that one up in the air.

Good shots.
The Corsair is one of my favourite American WWII aircraft.

Great shots...nice timing! I have that "Vought F-4U Corsair" model on my dresser. My dad use to like flying models - made this one and gave to me.

Well I couldn't help myself, I had to put more photos of the RC planes in the gallery...

The last one in this series is a true jet engine powered plane...not a ducted fan (electric), but a true turbojet powered plane.
