It was a cold brisk morning in Alabama last weekend and this mocking bird was puffed up keeping the cold out.
Shot at 600mm with my new 150-600mm Tamron lens.
1/20 sec at f / 16 ISO 100 handheld.
Thanks for the comments. With the tangle of vines I thought I would never find a position to get him framed properly.
Very well done. Not sure I can hold that lens that still.
1/20 sec with that long heavy lens,,, you have some real steady hands , good shot
You did great considering that lens is around 64 ounces by itself.
Thanks for all the great comments. I did have a tree to lean against which was a great help and then I held my breath and hoped for the best. One shot like that is about all I would be good for. I do love this lens. I did take 6 shots to get one good one out of the bunch,

Nice. Is this the entire image? And I wonder if the + download is the same as 100% zoom. I ask because I'm seeing a color fringe on the head of the bird. Still excellent for hand held though.

It is a full zoom and there is a slight tinge. Looks best if not fully zoomed Ha!
